Jim Humphries, Founder
QuaTeams President and Founder Jim Humphries has 12 years of experience in Information Technology. His background is in software engineering and high performance computing. Before founding QuaTeams in 1998, Jim worked at the University of Maryland Institute For Advanced Computer Studies ( UMIACS ) where he ran the Laboratory For Parallel Computation and was Implementation Team Leader on the NASA Earth Science Information Partnership ( ESIP ) project.
Jim has co-authored several scholarly publications related to applications of High Performance Computing and he has given invited presentations at the San Diego Supercomputing Center (SDSC), Maui High Performance Computing Center, and for NASA. In addition to running QuaTeams fulltime, he also serves as Acting Deputy Director of the Center for Applied High Performance Computing ( CAHPC ) at Howard University. Jim holds a degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park. |
