Product | ItinerX Server
ItinerX Server Functions
| The Serve will be used for:
Software downloads and updates
Automatic Virus and Spyware updates
PKI certificate issuance
Security Policy enforcement
Audit and review
Secure file storage
Secure file exchange
ItinerX Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
The ItinerX Server maintains and administers the certificates for the ItinerX Clients. The certificates are issued via the Internet. In the event of a lost Client, the Server will recreate the Certificates and associated keys so a replacement Client may be provisioned. This re-provisioning will be completely accomplished over the Internet. Once the replacement Client is established, the User will be able to recover all of their files stored on the Server and download them to the new removable Client. Files and passwords on a lost Client removable device cannot be decrypted and recovered by the finder of the device.
ItinerX Server Repository
The ItinerX Server serves as the repository for all software, certificates and User data. This may be provided by Titan or by the enterprise purchasing the system. The server will also be the repository for all files being securely exchanged between users. Tokens will be used between the Server and Client to track document updates.
ItinerX Virus and Spyware Updates
During file synchronization the Server will check the version of the virus and spyware definitions used by the Client and automatically forward updated versions. These definitions will be kept current by the virus and spyware provider partners.
ItinerX Security Policy
The ItinerX Administrator will set the security policy when an ItinerX Client is initialized. The administrator may set some security features and leave others to the discretion of the User. If set by the administrator, the ItinerX Client will not be able to change the policy settings. If the administrator does not set the security features, they will be settable by the User.
Audit
The Server supporting the Clients will maintain audit logs of all interactions. The server may also upload the Client audit logs for review by the administrator.
